Licensed Psychologist

Halle Miller-Baloff, Psy.D.

Therapeutic Approach: Taking the step to seek psychotherapy and/or assessmentis a brave one that can come with an array of complex emotions. As a clinical psychologist, it is of upmost importance to me to provide a safe, comfortable space where we can develop a meaningful, collaborative, and authentic therapeutic relationship. It is my belief that with openness and vulnerability come strength, possibility for change, and opportunities for healthy connections. I work to provide a place for you to freely express your thoughts and emotions, utilizing the dynamics within our therapeutic relationship to help us develop a better understanding of the interpersonal difficulties you may be experiencing with others, as well as the intrapersonal difficulties you may be experiencing within yourself.

Each human being is unique and complex. Thus, I take an integrative approach and tailor therapy to each individual’s needs. I work from a trauma-informed lens, integrating a variety of interventions from evidence-based psychotherapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, strength-based, interpersonal, dialectical behavioral therapy, family systems, and mindfulness. I aim to help you understand the factors that are maintaining your current difficulties. I strive to guide you towards understanding, accepting, and learning from your emotional experiences, while assisting you in developing more intentional, effective ways of coping, building upon the strengths that already exist within you.

I work with adolescents and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds addressing a wide variety of issues, including, but not limited to:

  • Mood and Anxiety disorders
  • Adjustment/Phase of Life Issues
  • Eating Disorders/Body-image related difficulties
  • Trauma
  • Grief/loss
  • Relationship difficulties
  • School/Work related issues
  • Stress Management
  • Personal Insight and Growth
